All RDBC members are invited to attend the Board meetings as observer guests. To allow for appropriate planning for meeting space, food orders, and providing meeting documents in advance, observer guests are asked to RSVP for each meeting they would like to attend. All RSVP deadlines will take place a week prior to the meeting date. If members would like to attend the meeting after the RSVP deadline as passed, they are welcome to attend by contacting our office directly at officeadmin@residentdoctorsbc.ca.

A Special General Meeting (SGM) for RDBC will be taking place on Wednesday, May 15 2024, 6:30 - 7:30 PM in person at our 1665 West Broadway office (Vancouver) and via Zoom. Attend the meeting to vote on several proposed Constitutional amendments that have been proposed and approved for review by the RDBC Board of Directors. 

A short summary of Constitutional amendments include:

Changes to the election process for the executive members of the RDBC Board of Directors
The addition of a dedicated Board seat for Residents in Family Medicine
The provision for a second round of nominations for the Board of Directors if vacancies persist after the first round of nominations
Addition of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee to the list of RDBC standing committees
Adapting the use of inclusive language (specifically the use of “they” instead of “he/she”) in the text of the Constitution
